(Alexandria, VA) Today, Convergence Media is excited to announce that we were awarded 7 Pollies at the 2023 Association of American Political Consultants’ (AAPC) Pollie Awards. Convergence won both a National Gold and Silver Pollie for our creative bilingual television ads for Congresswoman Mayra Flores and Congressman Carlos Gimenez, a National Gold Pollie for our Independent Expenditure Campaign for the National Republican Congressional Committee (NRCC), a National Silver Pollie for a U.S. House Special Election for Congresswoman Mayra Flores and a National Silver Pollie for Best Humor in a radio ad for ‘Always Totin’ Jeremy Oden. Convergence also took home two National Bronze Pollies in the Digital Candidate Division for Best Use of Digital Advertising for Acquisition and in the Shoulda, Woulda, Coulda category for Best Use of Television on behalf of Mayor Allan Fung.
“We’re honored to be recognized for our exceptional creative work on behalf of our outstanding clients,” said Convergence Founding Partner Rob Simms. “Our team’s innovative ideas are unrivaled, which is why we’re thrilled to win 7 Pollies in such vastly different categories. Our firm is immensely grateful to our clients for trusting us to build their unique brands and help them win big.”
The 7 Pollie Awards come on the heels of the 10 Reed Awards Convergence won last month. Since Convergence was founded in 2017, our firm has won 21 Pollies and 49 awards overall for our unique television, digital and public affairs ads as well as our creative work.
“At Convergence, our exceptionally talented team always thinks outside the box to uniquely position our clients with one goal in mind – winning,” said Founding Partner Mike Shields. “We are grateful to be recognized by the American Association of Political Consultants for our creative work and digital content.”
Colloquially called “the Oscars of Political Advertising,” the Pollie Awards (Pollies) are bipartisan honors awarded annually by the American Association of Political Consultants (AAPC) to members of the political advertising and communications industry who have demonstrated superior work on behalf of their candidates and causes. A blind jury of their professional peers selects AAPC award winners from a large list of entrants.
