Alexandria, VA — We are proud to announce that last night Convergence’s Vice President of Digital Marketing, Tom Newhouse, joined the American Association of Political Consultants (AAPC) 40 Under 40 Class of 2021. Since Convergence’s founding in 2017, Tom has had a profound impact on the Republican political landscape by taking a start-up and building it into an industry leader in online fundraising and digital campaigns.
“In a short period of time, Tom has quickly become recognized as one of the top online strategists in the country,” said Partner Mike Shields. “And the reality is, he’s just getting started.”
In the 2020 cycle, Tom assembled an innovative and creative team that raised more than $30 million for Convergence clients, including House leadership, party committees, SuperPACs, statewide campaigns and target races across the country.
“What makes Tom special is that he can build fundraising, advertising, voter contact and political online campaigns,” said Partner Rob Simms. “There is really nothing he cannot achieve and the success of our clients is a testament to that.”
While this award is a recognition for what Tom has already achieved, there are even bigger things in his future as he continues to add innovative solutions for his clients in the 2022 midterms. And with that, there is a growing team of specialists by his side to help implement them. As Convergence grows, it still maintains a start-up “family” approach to work and fun with a team that enjoys working together – and beating Democrats.
Speaking of family, Tom and his wife Lauren welcomed their daughter Lydia into the world 3 weeks ago. No word yet if Lydia has started coding, but clearly there is a big bold future ahead for this under 40 rock star.
